Mr. Pierce is Chief Development Officer of New Era Energy & Digital, where he leads the company’s strategy and execution for large-scale digital infrastructure, utility-scale power development, and AI-driven capacity expansion. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning hyperscale data centers, energy infrastructure, grid strategy, and mission-critical operations across the Americas and EMEA. Prior to joining New Era Energy & Digital, Mr. Pierce served as Vice President of Data Center Site Development and Energy Development for the Americas at EdgeConneX, where he led the development of multi-gigawatt hyperscale data center campuses and secured one of the company’s largest expansion initiatives, representing billions of dollars in capital investment and thousands of megawatts of future IT capacity. His leadership has included the strategic development of large-scale power and digital infrastructure programs across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Previously, Mr. Pierce held senior leadership roles at TikTok/ByteDance, Amazon, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led energy strategy, utility engagement, power procurement, sustainability initiatives, and capacity delivery for some of the world’s largest digital infrastructure platforms. Across his career, he has helped drive the deployment and planning of more than 5 gigawatts of data center and energy infrastructure supporting the next generation of cloud and AI growth.

Mr. Pierce began his career in the United States Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program, serving as a Reactor Electrical Chief Petty Officer. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
